DERBY, Conn. (WTNH) — Derby High School is getting a $10,000 donation from AT&T to support the school’s college and career readiness program.
Derby Public Schools say the money will be used to give 20 students $500 scholarships. The scholarships will be given to students who will be continuing their education and demonstrate strong school service, outstanding school citizenship, a strong academic record, and financial need. Students have to apply for a scholarship and write an essay about how they meet the criteria.
The scholarships will be awarded at the annual Awards Night ceremony in May.
